About StackERP

A clearer view of ERP and finance automation.

StackERP helps finance and technology teams explore software that works with their existing ERP, understand the differences and prepare a more informed shortlist.

Start with the work, then compare the software.

Finance automation covers a wide range of products. Some read invoices. Some manage approvals. Others reconcile accounts, run procurement workflows or execute actions inside an ERP. A shared category label does not mean they do the same job.

StackERP brings those differences into one research framework. The goal is to help buyers ask practical questions: what gets automated, what remains with the team, how data moves, and what evidence supports the vendor’s claims.

What we cover

The current research includes 56 ERP and finance automation platforms, assessed across 30 criteria. A separate JD Edwards comparison covers 24 entries, including products, service providers and the ERP platform itself.

Our focus is automation around an existing ERP. This is not a complete directory of every ERP replacement or every business software category.

Our approach

We publish the criteria, weights and calculation used in each comparison. Visitors can select their own requirements and see the ranking change accordingly.

The scores describe our assessment of functional coverage. They do not measure customer satisfaction or independently validate product quality. Some assessments use shared product-family assumptions; the current dataset does not provide a source citation for every individual score.

Use the scorecards to organise your research, then confirm the details with the provider. Read the full methodology and limitations.

Who publishes StackERP?

StackERP is published by Aviron. Aviron develops finance automation software and appears in the comparisons. This is a commercial relationship that readers should take into account.

Aviron is assessed using the same calculation as the other entries, but the selection of criteria and the editorial assessments still reflect the publisher’s perspective. Publishing the methodology makes that perspective visible; it does not make the research independent.
